The Positive is seeking creative journalists to improve mainstream news 
The Positive Vision
The Positive is a newspaper that delivers the productive aspects to their news stories. Our vision is to challenge the way people think about the mainstream news they read by offering them different, healthier and productive perspectives. With these viewpoints, we aim to educate the masses there are different way of taking in the news - more productive rather than the negative sensationalism news that is deliver currently in the mainstream.

The Positive is about educating reader’s minds, far from just filling their heads with unproductive and "just" news. The writers are far from just journalists at The Positive, they become teachers to the masses via their words.

As a result, we aspire to leave the reader feeling uplifted and with a different mindset on what they read in the news.

Application procedures
  • Journalists with The Positive need to challenge their mindset and have the drive to report fresh perspectives to the mainstream news. Innovative and inspiring topics that are currently happening in London or worldwide are the driving forces behind The Positive’s core.

  • Journalists work from home. 
  • Two articles a week submission is the minimum. The Positive publishes Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You need to be available from 9am until 12noon upon agreed day.
  • It is an volunteering position however you are given credit for working with The Positive, gain amazing writing experience and leave a healthy legacy by making a change to the news we read. As we expand we aim to offer remuneration.
  • The Positive refrains from any charity based stories and blogs. The Positive also refrains from “good or happy” news. 
  • Proper English is important

The Positive newspaper is seeking creative young writers and journalist! 


Do you have a daughter, son, niece, nephew or friends with children in the age group of 6-13 years old that have writing talent? Maybe you are a teacher and have a talented student that would love the opportunity to write for a newspaper publication? We’d love to have them write for The Positive! We are looking for young authors who would love to write reviews on movies, books, adventures to museums, other interesting venues in London... or their own ideas!

Application Procedures:

Children journalists/Writers of The Positive need to have the drive to write about interesting topics! Having the younger generation to write about these topics is inspiring!

It is a volunteering position however all young authors are given credit for working with The Positive, gain amazing writing and young journalism experience! 

One article a week submission is the minimum. Article need to be submitted on Monday mornings.

Age group of young authors: 6 to 13 years olds.
